Normal, Holy, and Semi-Holy Days: a quick reference tool to help you differentiate
is today:
(A) normal (go about your business)
(B) semi-holy (work, but don’t work too hard. feel free to indulge, but only a bit)
(C) holy. (do not work. although it may see counterintuitive, do not pray)
how to tell:
I. thursday
is today thursday? if so, see (B). if not, see section II. if you are unsure, see appendix i.
II. hair
did you wash your hair today? if not, see (A).
did you wash your hair, but not oil it? if so, see (B)
did you wash and oil your hair today? if so, see (C).
appendix i: electricity and days of the week
have there been sporadic bursts of power? if so, today may be either holy or normal. refer to section II for more guidance.
has the power been out all day? if so, today is thursday. refer back to section I.
