Happy N@nv*@#&t Birthday, Gandhi

I thought I might celebrate Gandhi's birthday with a trip to a few museums, a nice long lunch, maybe a bollywood movie.  I learned too late that every nonviolent thing in this nonviolent city is nonviolently closed on Ghandi's nonviolent birthday.  So thanks a nonviolent lot, Gandhi.

Instead I went to a seminar on Ghandism and Terrorism, which almost turned into a brawl when someone suggested that Gandhi might throw himself on a suicide bomber.  I was rooting for the brawl, but nonviolence won the fight...this time.

These two sleep side by side every nonviolent night in the drawer of my hotel room bedside table.
Happy Nonviolent Birthday, Gandhi.
