Pause: Istanbul

Terri Jones' frosted glass sphere soldiers on, this time installed in my flat in Istanbul.  Track lighting is not so easy to come by in this hundred-year-old building, so I rigged up a couple of mirrors and let the sun do the work.  Every day around two thirty a circle of light travels across the wall until it settles on the piece, and then moves on.  It's just enough time for a Turkish tea and a sesame bread ring, just enough of a break from the constant chaos of istanbul's labyrinthine streets.
